About the Game:

This was a game made for the vampire game jam. I used my previous Action Trainer to as a base to get some common stuff out of the way such as physics, menus, sound, etc. This game jam helped me learn how to make cutscenes, smarter AI, and how make the game run in browser. There was more I wanted to include but due to inexperience and over scoping I had to redo the story to fit around what I had. 

Plot: 

Vamp is a vampire who works as a nocturnal cave explorer searching for treasure with his pet bat Fang. 

Vamp was exploring some caves until he comes across a mystic mirror. 

The mirror mysteriously shatters and a doppelganger of the explorer now tries to escape the caves. 

The explorer chases the doppelganger to a dead end where he must shatter his doppelganger before they escape.

A boss fight against an intelligent AI

A practice room to get a handle on how Vamp works before jumping in. 

Gameplay:

Controls:

Left stick and D pad - Movement

Right stick - Secondary Weapon swap

L bumper - Dash

R bumper - Secondary Shot

North Face button - Secondary shot

East Face button - Dash

South Face button - Jump

West Face button - Primary Shot

Pause button - Pause

Mechanics:

Primary shots: Heal the player on contact with the opponent

Secondary shoots: Drain health from the player when used

Health buddy: Turns blue when the player's health is above 50% and red when below 50%
